Retiring Wallabies captain John Eales has said that Australian vice-captain George Gregan is the right man to replace him as the team skipper. Eales, Australia's most successful rugby union captain, will retire from playing rugby after the final match of this year's Tri-Nations series when Australia entertain New Zealand at Sydney's Olympic Stadium on September 1.
"George is tailor-made, definitely," Eales said in The Hearld Sun newspaper. "He has fantastic leadership qualities. He's been vice-captain for a number of years and his form right throughout has been at A-plus level of consistency. I've no doubt George should step into that role."
