Former Springbok signs for Ulster

Former Springbok forward Robbie Brink has signed for Ulster from Western Province. The 30-year-old will join up with his former Western Province and Stormers boss Alan Solomons who was recently appointed Ulster's new coach. Brink was a member of South Africa's World Cup winning squad back in 1995 but then suffered a series of injuries that threatened his career. He returned to the game in 1999 when he took up a regular spot in the Western Province and Stormers squad.

"Robbie is the ultimate professional and over the years has given his all for Western Province rugby," said the new Western Province coach Gert Smal of Ulster's latest signing.
