Several injury doubts for Lions

The Lions have been struck down with several injury problems ahead of their weekend match against Queensland Reds. Hooker Robin McBryde limped off after just seven minutes during today's win over the Queensland Presidents XV. He is believed to be suffering from a thigh injury and the full extent of the problem will be assessed tomorrow. "McBryde had suffered some bleeding from his thigh muscle" confirmed Lions boss Graham Henry. "The doctor is reasonably positive, but injuries are a negative that you don't want," he added.

Several other Lions players suffered some minor injuries today. Lock Scott Murray suffered some blurred vision from a finger in the eye, Matt Dawson picked up a calf strain and Austin Healey hurt his ribs during the bruising encounter.
