Australian international fly-half Nathan Spooner will join Leinster in July when his contract with Queensland Reds comes to an end in June. The 26-year-old has played twice for Australia both against Ireland on their 1999 tour.
A top class goalkicker, Spooner takes up a vacancy left when Leinster's negotiations with Louis Koen broke down. Spooner follows New South Wales' Irish-born flanker Keith Gleeson, a former Australian Under 21 cap, to Leinster.
