Irish coach Warren Gatland has named a 24 strong squad ahead of Ireland's friendly with Romania in Bucharest on Saturday the 2nd of June. Despite the absence of six Lions members, the squad is full of experience and quality and should provide a valuable test for the Irish team ahead of this autumn's Six Nations resumption.
Jonathon Bell, Paul Burke and Guy Easterby are all included amongst the backs while Shane Byrne, Mick O'Driscoll and Kieron Dawson are named amongst the forwards. The team to play Romania will be announced after training on Tuesday next.
