AIB League leaders Galwegians will have a new coach next season after confirmation that John Kingston has been appointed as head coach to Harlequins where he will link up with Irish captain Keith Wood. Harlequins qualified for the final of the European Shield yesterday when they had a 17-12 win over Newcastle in the semi-final in Headingly.
Kingston has been in charge at Crowley Park for 18 months and he will take up his new appointment during the summer. A spokesperson for Galwegians wished John Kingston the very best and added that the Club were "absolutely delighted" with his appointment.
