Englishman to ref Munster semi-final

Munster’s Heineken Cup semi-final referee has been named as England’s Chris White. White will take charge of the April 21st clash, where Declan Kidney’s formidable outfit face Stade Francais in Lille. The fixture is as yet unaffected by the implications surrounding the foot and mouth outbreak, despite this morning’s confirmed case in Co Louth.

Meanwhile, Ireland’s David McHugh controls the Shield semi-final between Narbonne and Agen on April 22. In the other semis, Frenchman Joel Dume has been awarded the all-English Heineken Cup clash between Leicester and Gloucester at Watford, while Scottish official Jim Fleming will control Newcastle's clash with Harlequins.
