Rugby: Tough draw for Munster

Munster got the toughest draw possible for the semi-finals of the European Rugby Cup as they must travel to Bordeaux to take on Toulouse on May 6th. Munster coach Declan Kidney admitted it was a tough draw, but stressed that Munster were delighted just to be in the hat for the draw following the highly impressive win over Stade Francaise at Thomond Park on Saturday. In the other semi-final Northampton will have home advantage as they take on Llanelli.

Meanwhile Irish rugby coach Warren Gatland has been name Philips manager of the month for March 2000. On receiving the award, Warren Gatland said he was delighted to accept the award on behalf 'of the tremendous force that is now the Irish rugby team, and for the dedication and drive displayed by Irish management'. Also the Irish under 19s are playing Australia today in the Under 19 World Cup in France.
