Andy Farrelldoesn't believe the injuries picked up by Jack Conan, Jimmy O'Brien and Craig Casey are too serious, as Ireland got their Rugby World Cup warm-up campaign under way with a 33-17 win against Italy at the Aviva Stadium.
All three players departed the game in the ten minutes either side of half-time, with Conan seen wearing a protective boot on the sideline during the second half.
Ireland get their World Cup campaign under way against Romania on Saturday 9 September, and although Farrell says they will be assessing the injuries further, he appeared confident the issues weren't long-term.
"They seem not too bad," Farrell said.
"Jimmy's shoulder has shut down a little bit, it's something he's had in the past. Jack has lost power in his foot, it seems OK. Craig had a tight back which led to a cramp in his hamstring."
The Ireland coach described the Irish performance as "clunky" at times, but the result was never really in doubt, with Ireland building up a 21-3 lead by half-time.
Caelan Doris played a starring role at openside flanker, scoring two tries and contributing to Ireland's third, and adding to the performance on both sides of the ball with 12 carries and 11 tackles.
"I'm sick of him getting man of the match," Farrell laughed.
"He just keeps getting better and better; we all know he's good at jackalling and good over the ball and I'm not sure if he took that through the roof because he had No 7 on his back.
"He epitomises what we're trying to do in terms of being in control of his own thoughts. It doesn’t matter if he makes a mistake or two, he gets on with the next job. He’s growing all the time, not just in the way he playing, but he's growing as far as his leadership role is concerned."
The game ran out of steam in the third quarter as both sides made several substitutions.
And while the Ireland coach was pleased with elements of the performance, he knows it will have to become more fluid in the coming weeks ahead of the Pool B opener in Bordeaux in five weeks.
"Delighted to get the win, it matters to us when we play at the Aviva. It means a lot to get the win. Probably more so because of the three lads who were making their debuts, they can look back on their debut as a nice memory that's got a nice W on the side of it.
"We all know really that it was a bit clunky to say the least at times; some really good stuff in terms of possession's concerned and opportunities to convert in spades and we weren't able to convert that. That’s the moral of the story."
