Australia-born Hansen qualified for Ireland through his mother, who comes from Cork.
After a series of impressive performances for Connacht, the Canberra man earned a call-up to the Ireland squad in 2022 and never looked back.
Given a licence to roam, Hansen's free-wheeling energetic performances earned him the Ireland player of the year award last season.
He played three seasons with the Brumbies before moving to the Westerners in 2021.
