Leinster number 8 Conan will be hoping for better luck at this World Cup, after a bad experience in Japan four years ago. Having come into the tournament as one of Ireland's most in-form players, he suffered a broken foot after the opening game against Scotland, ruling him out of the rest of the competition.
The Bray native appears to have timed his form well coming into this World Cup again, playing all five games of Ireland’s Six Nations Grand Slam campaign, while also impressing for Leinster in their run to the Champions Cup final.
In addition to his 39 Ireland caps, he started all three Tests for the British and Irish Lions on the 2021 tour of South Africa.
