Ireland will continue to asses the fitness of skipper Brian O'Driscoll ahead of tomorrow's team announcement for Saturday's World Cup clash with Georgia.

O'Driscoll hyper-extended his elbow towards the end of last night's 32-17 victory over Namibia and emerged for the post match press conference with his right arm in a sling.

In two other further injury concerns arising from a bruising Pool D encounter, fly-half Ronan O'Gara suffered bruising to the foot and prop Marcus Horan hurt his ribs.

An update on the trio's availability to face Georgia in Ireland's second Pool D match is expected tomorrow when the team is unveiled in mid-afternoon.

Ireland head coach Eddie O'Sullivan said: ‘I think we're going to let Ronan and Marcus settle down. Their injuries don't seem to be too serious.

‘Brian just hyper-extended his elbow and it seems to be more of a trapped nerve problem than anything else.’
