Yannick Jauzion has pulled out of the France team that will take on England at Twickenham in a World Cup warm-up match on Saturday.
The Toulouse centre has been struggling with a back injury this week, but was given until the last minute to prove his fitness for the game.
However, the Les Bleus staff have decided to withdraw him as a precaution and Damien Traille is likely to replace him.
Traille, who plays for Biarritz and has only recently returned from injury himself, was not named in the original 22 for the friendly.
