Fintan McCarthy and Katie O'Brien are both bringing home medals for Ireland after impressive performances at the World Rowing Cup II event in Poznan.

McCarthy claimed silver in the lightweight men's single sculls final behind Matthew Dunham of New Zealand, finishing one second behind the gold medallist.

In the PR2 women's single sculls para event, O'Brien stormed to gold in a world record time of nine minutes 14.65 seconds.
