Irish rower Sanita Puspure has missed out on qualification for next summer's Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Puspure needed to finish in the top three of the B Final of the Women's Single Sculls at the World Championship in France to secure an Olympic spot.
However, she could only manage fifth place in a tight race won by Sweden's Anna Malvina Svennung.
All six finalists in the A Final have qualified for the Olympics.
Fantastic race from Sanita Puspure in the W1x B Final taking 5th position & unlucky to miss Rio qualification @sportireland @olympiccouncil
