Ireland's lightweight fours, stroked by Kerryman Paul Griffin, today eased through to their second straight World Cup regatta final, in Lucerne, Switzerland.
The quartet, which includes Griffin, Eugene Coakley and bowman Richard Archibald from the Athens Olympics crew, led from start to win their semi-final heat and qualify for tomorrow's 'A' final.
The Irish covered the 2000m course in Six minutes, 5.74 seconds, beating the second-placed Netherlands by two seconds.
The reigning World and Olympic champions Denmark looked a shadow of themselves, back in fifth.
Drawn in lane three for the Lucerne decider, the Irish fours boat claimed victory in the 'B' final at Eton this year, before earning bronze at last month's World Cup regatta in Munich.
Earlier today, Ireland's heavyweight fours, comprising of Cormac Folan, Sean Jacob, Sean Casey and Alan Martin, were squeezed out of 'A' final contention, finishing fifth in a blanket semi-final finish.
The pair of Niamh Ni Cheallachair and Heather Boyle will also contest the 'B' final after being edged out for third in their semi-final by a fast-finishing German crew.
