Precise (purple and white silks) won the Fillies' Mile over course and distance on her final juvenile outing

Dual Group One winner Precise heads a bumper field of 19 for Sunday's Betfred 1000 Guineas at Newmarket.

Precise won the Moyglare Stud Stakes and Fillies’ Mile last term, but was denied a Breeders’ Cup outing when she was found to be coughing on the morning of the race.

The daughter of Starspangledbanner is one of two for Aidan O’Brien, together with True Love, winner of the Cheveley Park Stakes and successful on her reappearance in a seven-furlong Group Three contest at Leopardstown. Diamond Necklace was not declared by the Ballydoyle team.

Karl Burke’s Venetian Sun also had top-class form to her name last season, but will have to prove her stamina, with her Group One win against the colts in the Prix Morny coming over six furlongs.

Charlie Appleby, successful 12 months ago with Desert Flower, runs the once-raced Abashiri, while the Godolphin colours will also be carried by Andre Fabre’s My Highness, the mount of Oisin Murphy.

Azleet, the shock Nell Gwyn winner, goes for Stuart Williams and Charlie Johnston is double-handed with Timeforshowcasing and Venetian Lace.

Touleen is a contender for Owen Burrows, with Saffie Osborne in the saddle, The Prettiest Star represents Ed Walker and Michael Bell’s Spicy Marg has also been declared.
