Racing is ON at Leopardstown this afternoon.
After a Saturday washout which saw what should have been the opening day of the Dublin Racing Festival postponed until Bank Holiday Monday, the Sunday card has been saved and we will have racing in front of the RTÉ Sport cameras at the south Dublin track this afternoon.
The Irish Champion Hurdle is the feature race on the card. The Grade 1, which gives us a Lossiemouth and Brighterdaysahead rematch, goes to post at 3.20pm.

A statement from the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board read: "Following an inspection this morning, the track at Leopardstown was found to be fit for racing and the fixture scheduled for Sunday, 1 February goes ahead.
"The ground on the Hurdle course is heavy and the ground on the Chase course is soft. The first of eight races today is due off at 12.40pm. There is the possibility of occasional light showers this morning, turning mainly dry thereafter and remaining mainly dry into tomorrow."
