Today's card at Limerick has fallen victim to the weather after the track was deemed unfit for racing following an inspection this morning.

The entire country remains under a Status Yellow wind warning until 11pm due to the impact of Storm Chandra.

The Irish Horse Racing Board said in a statement that heavy overnight rainfall had forced the cancellation due to a waterlogged course.

"The 12mm overnight is on top of the 31mm of rain we've had since entries last Thursday with a further 53mm in the previous two weeks," Shane Ryder, IHRB clerk of the course at Limerick said.

"There are further showers to come today and unfortunately that has left us with no option but to cancel the fixture scheduled for this afternoon."
