The Thyestes Chase will go ahead on Thursday after an inspection deemed Gowran Park fit for racing.
Following heavy rain in Kilkenny, officials inspected the track at 4.30pm on Wednesday afternoon.
Subsequently, it was confirmed that Thursday's race card will go ahead as planned although the ground remains heavy.
"Since our update at lunchtime today there has been a further .5mm of rain here at Gowran Park," said Paddy Graffin, IHRB clerk of the course at Gowran Park.
"I am pleased to report that following our inspection this afternoon the ground is fit for racing. Met Éireann have forecast a further 2mm of rain tonight with a possible 3mm of rain tomorrow.
"The ground remains heavy."
