Saturday's card at Fairyhouse has been cancelled and rescheduled for Tuesday, after heavy overnight rain left parts of the track waterlogged. Sunday's card will have to pass a 7.30am inspection on raceday.

"Following 21mm of rain overnight, the track at Fairyhouse is currently unfit for racing due to surface water lying in areas of the track. The fixture scheduled for today has been cancelled," the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board said in a statement.

"There will be a further inspection tomorrow (Sunday) morning at 7.30am ahead of racing on Sunday. It is currently raining at present with the rain to ease early this afternoon. Where raceable, the ground is soft to heavy."

"If the forecast is right, we don't envisage any issues tomorrow," Brendan Sheridan, clerk of the course said.

Original entries for Saturday's rescheduled card stand, while the Rybo Handicap Hurdle (Listed Race) reverts to after final forfeit stage and fresh declarations for all races must be made by 10am on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the SSE Airtricity Women's Premier Division fixture between Waterford and Bohemians has been postponed due to an unplayable pitch.
