Following a sustained period of heavy rainfall, Saturday's fixture at Limerick has been cancelled.

Paul Moloney, clerk of the course at the venue said: "The extremely heavy volumes of rain recently has totalled 68mm of rainfall in the last fortnight alone, including heavy rain during racing yesterday.

"Due to logistical reasons we have had to cancel the Flat fixture scheduled to take place on 20 April and Limerick will consult with Horse Racing Ireland on replacing that fixture in due course.

"We will have fresh ground for the National Hunt meeting scheduled to take place on 19 April and hopefully the weather will be kind to us over the next week."
