Today's meeting at Thurles has been cancelled due to a waterlogged course.

Heavy rain overnight and this morning resulted in parts of the track at the Tipperary course being waterlogged and unfit for racing.

Lorcan Wyer, Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board (IHRB) clerk of the course at Thurles said: "Following a further 7mm of rain since 7.30am this morning, the track at Thurles is now unfit for racing due to waterlogging.

"Unfortunately due to the vast volume of water in a short space of time, we have no option but to cancel the meeting scheduled for today. There is just not enough time for the water to soak into the track."

The meeting will now be held next Tuesday.
