Rachael Blackmore makes her return to the saddle at Galway on Saturday, where she is booked to partner Balko Des Flos in the WB Gavin & Co Handicap Hurdle for Henry de Bromhead.
Blackmore has been out of action following a fall at Killarney in July, when the leading rider suffered a fractured ankle and a hip injury.
Her afternoon at Killarney perfectly captured the oscillating fortunes of National Hunt jockeys, with a crashing tumble from Merry Poppins coming just over half an hour after the 32-year-old had booted home Baltinglass Hill to the narrowest of victories at the picturesque Kerry venue.
The Killenaule native's hitherto annus mirabilis had seen her became the first woman to partner a Champion Hurdle winner at Cheltenham, scoring on the unbeaten mare Honeysuckle, while a tally of six winners at Prestbury Park saw her top the jockey standings.
A month later, she landed the world's most famous steeplechase when Minella Times triumphed in the Grand National at Aintree.
