Saturday's card at Naas is in doubt as a result of the wintery conditions forecast for the following 24 hours.

As a result, a morning inspection will take place at the Kildare racecourse on Saturday morning following the Status Yellow weather warning.

The eight-race meet is set to start at 12:35pm with the final outing set for 4:35pm.

A statement from the IHRB read: "Due to a Status Yellow weather warning in place for snow and ice, there will be a 7.30am precautionary inspection at Naas tomorrow (Saturday) ahead of the fixture scheduled to take place.

"The ground at Naas is currently soft (Hurdle & Bumper) and soft to heavy (Chase)."

In England, Newbury and Warwick have both abandoned their weekend cards after the frozen tracks failed Friday morning inspections.
