Zoffany, winner of the 2010 Phoenix Stakes, died on Friday due to liver failure.

The 13-year-old, who counts last year's National Stakes winner Thunder Moon and 2019 Marcel Boussac victor Albigna among his progeny, had stood at Coolmore since his retirement in 2011.

Zoffany posted a career best effort on the track when running Frankel to three-quarters of a length in the 2011 St James’s Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot.

"Zoffany was a great servant and he’ll be a big loss," said Coolmore’s David O’Loughlin.
