RTÉ analyst Jane Mangan is sweet on the chances of Enable winning a third Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at ParisLongchamp on Sunday.

The John Gosden filly, seeking an unprecedented hat-trick of Arc victories, is one of two contenders for the trainer along with Ascot Gold Cup winner Stradivarius.

As things stand, a field of 14 will line up in the French capital.

Aidan O'Brien's Love was taken out following the final forfeit stage, with the trainer feeling the dual Classic heroine would not be at home on the predicted very soft ground.

O'Brien is still represented by Derby hero Serpentine, who was supplemented on Wednesday at a cost of €72,000, Japan and Mogul - winner of the Grand Prix de Paris.

But for Mangan, it's all about one horse.

Speaking on Morning Ireland, she said: "I think there's every chance Enable can create history. It's heavy ground and she's proven on that.

"This is a deep field and she's proven to be the best in the world and has been for a number of years now.

"She's won it twice already and being second. Her entire season has been geared around this race and while she'll face stern opposition from Britain, Ireland, France, Germany and Japan, Enable has beaten those calibre of horses on a consistent basis throughout her career.

"She'll be ridden by the best jockey in the world in Frankie Dettori and she, to her credit, always turns up.

"Ordinarily, a third Arc would seem impossible to most horses but Enable is not most horses. She's special, she's different, she's one of a kind and win' lose or draw, she's going to retire on Sunday.

"If you're a racing fan, don't miss this, this is history in real time. If this is ever to be achieved, Enable is the one to do it."
