Beauty Generation showed all his class to record victory in the Chairman's Trophy at Sha Tin.

The highest-rated miler in the world, John Moore's superstar returned to winning ways at Group One level last time out and was sent off the 31-20 second-favourite for this Group Two assignment behind Waikuku (7-10F),  who had finished ahead of him the last four times they had met.

Enjoying the perfect trip under Zac Purton on the shoulder of leader Ka Ying Star (9-1), with Waikuku similarly well placed on the rail, Beauty Generation turned for home full of running.

Purton had still not moved a furlong and a half out and when he did his mount found plenty without him having to get overly serious, always holding Ka Ying Star and Southern Legend (21-1).

Waikuku was disappointing, beating only one home.

Voyage Warrior (232-10) led all the way to produce a real surprise in the Group Two Sprint Cup at Sha Tin.

All the pre-race attention had surrounded the return of Aethero (4-5F) and his rematch with Hot King Prawn (8-5), but nearly everything that could go wrong did for the favourite, who was slowly away and then keen in making up ground quickly.

Having his first start since December, Aethero had anything but a smooth passage throughout and ultimately it was no surprise when he dropped away and was eased by Zac Purton when his chance had gone, finishing last of the eight runners.

Up front, Voyage Warrior stuck gamely to his task under Vincent Ho, having enough in reserve to hold off Hot King Prawn and Thanks Forever (77-10).
