The second day of the Christmas festival saw Chacun Pour Soi get beaten. A bitter pill to swallow. It's only one defeat though. My hopes remain high. The Savills Chase is the feature on day three and it features a very strong cast.

The form of the Cork race in which Jon Snow finished third on his Irish debut is probably the strongest on show here. With normal improvement he should take plenty of beating. The Bosses Oscar looks a promising sort. He's taken to chase the selection home.
Selection: Jon Snow 6/4

The handicapper will hope to have the measure of Ronald Pump. This improving six-year-old looks to have taken yet another step forward in two runs over fences this term. Returning to smaller obstacles shouldn't inconvenience. He's taken to make class tell. A Great View showed plenty on seasonal bow. Over this more suitable trip, he's feared most.
Selection: Ronald Pump 10/1

Allahoo rates a hugely exciting prospect. He performed admirably in top novice hurdles last term. That in spite of looking physically immature. We can expect to see a more furnished individual here. A competent round of jumping should be more than enough. Canardier looked set to deliver on chasing debut in Navan. If avoiding mishap, he can take second place.
Selection: Allahoo 7/4

A disappointing renewal. Bacardys has come home in front of a regressive Apple's Jade twice this term. It's hard to envisage the hat-trick being denied. With the rest of the opposition arguably having even more questions to answer, Apple's can probably complete the forecast.
Selection: Bacardys 7/4

The Church Gate bids to follow up last year's win in this race. His Navan comeback looked an ideal tune up. It also hinted that a mark 11 pounds higher than last year isn't insurmountable. Encore Lui was a costly failure last time out. That run may be best forgiven. He remains a horse with potential.
Selection: The Church Gate 8/1
3.10 pm Savills Chase
Kemboy has turned into a winning machine. The only blip last season came in the Cheltenham Gold Cup. His jumping is a major asset generally. He can repeat last year's win in this race. Road To Respect endured a brutal passage behind Kemboy last year. Off the back of an impressive comeback win, he may get closer this time round.
Selection: Kemboy 15/8

Ferny Hollow was betrayed by inexperience on bumper debut in Fairyhouse. He also had the misfortune to run into a highly promising sort. It's unlikely he'll need much improvement to score here. Fakiera showed promise on debut in a valuable Fairyhouse bumper. He looks the safest forecast option
Selection: Ferny Hollow 8/11
