There was drama in the Killarney Avenue Hotel Handicap Chase at Killarney on Monday evening as jockey Brian Hayes was suspended for 14 days and his mount, Rock Road, was disqualified from third place.
Hayes was found guilty of dangerous riding after his mount and Mister Butler got very close at the penultimate fence, with Paul Cawley being unshipped from latter as he appeared to run out of racing room.
Hayes reported his mount had cocked his jaw, but the stewards found the rider to be at fault, meaning Motcomb Street was promoted to third behind 6-1 winner Island Master.
Meanwhile, Willie Mullins recorded a one-two-three in the concluding BetVictor Novice Chase with the David Mullins-ridden Robin De Carlow leading home Brahma Bull and Pont Aven.
Robin De Carlow, carrying the colours of the Supreme Racing Syndicate, did it in style under Mullins, who recently returned from injury.
