Henry de Bromhead has yet to decide whether Monalee will head for the Magners Cheltenham Gold Cup or the Ryanair Chase following his win at Gowran Park.
Runner-up to Gold Cup favourite Presenting Percy in the RSA Chase in 2018, the eight-year-old booked his trip to the Cotswolds next month when making all in Saturday's Grade Two Red Mills Chase over two and a half miles.
Monalee has yet to win at further than two miles five furlongs over fences under rules, but has three-miles successes on his CV in a point-to-point and Grade Three novice hurdle.
De Bromhead admits it remains an even call between the Gold Cup's three miles two and a half furlongs and just two miles five in the Ryanair.
"I don't know yet - and I'd say it's 50-50 at the moment," said the County Waterford trainer.
"He's good, not a bother on him, and he's in great form.
"I thought he was good, and I was delighted with him."
