Mick Halford has high hopes for Platinum Warrior in the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby later this month.
The Galileo colt booked his ticket for the June 30 event when winning the Gallinule Stakes at the Curragh last month and he is on course to return to the track for a Classic assignment.
Halford said: "Platinum Warrior is in great form and has taken his run really well.
"He gets the supplementary entry now for the Irish Derby (as a winner of the Gallinule Stakes) so we'll let him take his chance.
"We think he'll like a step up to a mile and a half, and will love the good ground. He has a good profile going forward."
