Bryan Cooper will not make his return to action at Down Royal this weekend.
Gigginstown House Stud's retained rider has been out since 8 October after he sustained a fracture to his right arm at Fairyhouse.
The Kerry man had only recovered from suffering a collapsed lung in a bad fall at the Galway Festival when the latest setback hit.
He has missed plenty of winners in his short time away, including the impressive chasing debut of Identity Thief, and would have had plenty to look forward to at the two-day fixture, which features the JNWine.com Champion Chase.
"I am disappointed to report that I won't be riding at Down Royal this week, and my comeback has been put on hold," the rider said in his blog for 32Red.
"I had been targeting the two-day Grade One meeting for my return, but I went to see the doctor today and he was not sufficiently happy with how my fractured right arm has healed for me to resume race-riding just yet.
"Of course, it is disappointing but there is no point in rushing these things - patience is key in these situations - and I hope it is not too long before I am back in the saddle."
