Even Song is the star name among 12 fillies declared for the Darley Irish Oaks at the Curragh on Saturday.
An impressive winner of the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot last month, the daughter of Mastercraftsman is trainer Aidan O'Brien's chief hope of claiming a fifth success in the mile-and-a-half Classic following the previous victories of Alexandrova (2006), Peeping Fawn (2007), Moonstone (2008) and Bracelet (2014).
The master of Ballydoyle also saddles Munster Oaks winner Pretty Perfect and Epsom Oaks fourth and sixth Somehow and Seventh Heaven.
Hugo Palmer struck gold 12 months ago with Covert Love and is this year double-handed with Architecture and We Are Ninety.
Pat Smullen saddles We Are Ninety and is hoping for a repeat of last season’s success with Covert Love.
He said: “We Are Ninety is a very progressive filly, she was well fancied going into Royal Ascot and probably ran a little below par but you can forgive any horse for that. Obviously, Hugo thinks enough of her to bring her over and hopefully we can have a repeat of what happened last year.
“Hugo has a great record and any time you team up with Hugo you are always hopeful for a big run and hopefully that will be the case again on Saturday.”
Architecture ran a fantastic race to fill the runner-up spot behind the brilliant Minding at Epsom, but disappointed in the Ribblesdale. We Are Ninety was a couple of places ahead of her stablemate when sixth in the same Royal Ascot contest.
A strong British contingent is completed by Mick Channon's Epsom Oaks third and the Roger Varian-trained Ribblesdale second Ajman Princess.
The Jim Bolger-trained pair of Turret Rocks and An Cailin Orga, the John Oxx-trained Red Stars and Way To My Heart from Joseph O'Brien's stable complete the field.
The ground at the Curragh was described as good on the round course and good to yielding on the straight track with a mainly dry forecast but the risk of some showers approaching the weekend.
