Curragh preview: Rock and Found to square off

Fascinating Rock (L) takes on Found again
Fascinating Rock (L) takes on Found again

Two old rivals lock horns again in a fascinating renewal of the Camelot EBF Mooresbridge Stakes at the Curragh.

Fascinating Rock got the better of Found when they met in the Champion Stakes at Ascot, but Found then went on to Breeders' Cup Turf glory and has the advantage of a recent run behind her.

Add Success Days and Altesse to the mix and this looks a high-class renewal of the Group 3.

Fascinating Rock's trainer Dermot Weld gives recent course maiden winner Embiran a step up in class for the Listed Power EBF Tetrarch Stakes.

His lack of high-level experience could be found out by the likes of Michael O'Callaghan's Blue De Vega, a Group Three winner last term, and Round Two, a Listed winner who was not disgraced in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Weld also steps Waitaki up in grade for the Canford Cliffs EBF Athasi Stakes, where she meets some classy older rivals including Ainippe.

Ger Lyons' filly was a dual winner at this Group Three level last term and signed off the season with a fine third behind Legatissimo in the Matron Stakes at Leopardstown.

Aidan O'Brien looks to hold all the aces in the opening Ivawood EBF Race at 1.50, with Dundalk scorer Peace Envoy joined by stablemate and Navan winner Hyzenthlay.

King Electric was second to Peace Envoy on debut, followed up with another runner-up effort on the all-weather last time and looks the big danger to O'Brien's duo, though O'Callaghan won this last year and runs Sebastian Bach this time.

O'Brien has a pair of runners in the PG Duffy And Sons Citroen Maiden with Motherland and The Wave Rock, while Weld looks to have the most interesting runner in the Keadeen Hotel Maiden courtesy of recent Naas third Footbridge.

Doc Sportello and Anonymous Lady try to follow up recent successes in the K Club Handicap, while the Cross' Supervalu Handicap could be between Aared and Stone Mountain.
