Gordon Elliott is considering options at Punchestown and Sandown for his Cheltenham Festival winner Diamond King.
The eight-year-old ran out an impressive winner of the Coral Cup at Prestbury Park last month and could be set for a step up in grade at Punchestown after being given entries in both the Ladbrokes Champion Stayers Hurdle and the Betdaq Punchestown Champion Hurdle.
However, Elliott has identified the bet365 Select Hurdle on the final day of the British season at Sandown as a potential alternative.
He said: "Diamond King is entered in a number of Grade Ones, but there's also a race in Sandown that we're looking at.
"The owners are quite keen to go to Punchestown and the prize-money is that good I'd be delighted if he finished second or third."
The Gold Cup-winning trainer also had news of Albert Bartlett runner-up Fagan and National Hunt Chase faller Noble Endeavour.
"I was surprised how well he (Fagan) ran at Cheltenham. He won't be going to Punchestown. He'll run in Perth next week. There's a novice hurdle for him there," said Elliott.
"Noble Endeavor will probably go for one of the handicaps or the three-mile novice (Growise Champion Novice Chase) at Punchestown. I feel there's a big race in him somewhere."
Asked for a less exposed horse to follow at the Punchestown Festival, Elliott identified Gigginstown House Stud-owned point-to-point scorer Hardline.
"He's going to go for the Land Rover Bumper as long as the ground comes up OK. He's a nice horse," he said.
