Jim Dreaper is looking forward to tackling the Crabbie's Grand National with Goonyella after a highly encouraging run at Naas on Sunday.
The nine-year-old gelding stayed on well to chase home stablemate Venitien De Mai in the Leinster National and will now tackle the big prize at Aintree.
Dreaper's stout stayer has already run in two Becher Chases over the National fences, finishing ninth on his most recent visit in December, but marathon trips are his forte.
His finest hour came when landing the Midlands National at Uttoxeter last season.
"I was very pleased with him and he showed his old sparkle. I couldn't have asked for any more," said Dreaper.
"To be honest, we couldn't see him giving 25lb to Venitien De Mai on the day if everything worked out.
"All roads are leading to Aintree now."
