Cerca Trova is on a hat-trick mission in the Download The Racing Post Android App Handicap Chase at Downpatrick on Wednesday.

The 10-year-old mare formed part of an excellent beginning to 2016 for Jim Dreaper when scoring twice over timber, most recently in slightly fortuitous circumstances at Clonmel.

She doesn't have a great deal of experience over the larger obstacles but gets the opportunity to compete off a mark 8lb lower than her revised hurdles rating so must have every chance of completing the three-timer.

Hedgeinator created a good impression on the same Clonmel card and now goes in the Toals Bookmakers Cheltenham Chat After The Last Race Hunters Chase.

Only a six-year-old, Alan Fleming's smart prospect backed up a victory between the flags when surviving a last-fence blunder and he will be fancied to take the next step up the ladder.

Billy Billy has come up short, albeit making the frame, twice since going jumping but still commands respect in the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Maiden Hurdle.

She crosses swords with Miss Me Now, who is one of three horses sent north by Willie Mullins, the others being Henry Howard in the opening Count Me In Maiden Hurdle at 2.05pm and Master Of Verse in the concluding Posh Nosh Flat Race.

The latter has a hood fitted for his return from well over a year on the sidelines and tackles an interesting newcomer in the shape of Carrig Cathal, who cost Gordon Elliott £40,000 after winning a point-to-point.

Elliott pitches juvenile Authorized Cadeaux in against his elders in the Irish Thoroughbred Breeders Association (Northern Region) Handicap Hurdle and although he shown very little in three National Hunt outings so far, he could be a different proposition now that he steps outside of maiden company for the first time.
