Douvan will face just two opponents when he bids to make it three from three over fences in the Frank Ward Solicitors Arkle Novice Chase at Leopardstown on Sunday.
The six-year-old won each of his four starts over hurdles after joining Willie Mullins at the start of last season, including brilliant victories in the Supreme Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival and the Champion Novice Hurdle at Punchestown.
He made a flying start to his career over fences at Navan in November and was even more impressive when slamming his rivals in the Racing Post Novice Chase over this course and distance at Leopardstown's Christmas meeting.
The Alan Fleming-trained Velvet Maker, some 64 lengths behind Douvan a month ago, takes him on again.
The trio is completed by Henry de Bromhead's Domesday Book, who won as he liked on his second start over fences at Limerick, but clearly has far more on his plate this weekend.
