Paul Townend is expected to be back in action at Gowran Park a week on Thursday.
The former champion jump jockey has been on the sidelines since standing himself down after finishing fourth on Beau Mome at Leopardstown on 26 December.
It was first his ride since suffering a bruised bone in his leg after being unseated aboard the Willie Mullins-trained Stone Hard in the Grade Two Navan Novice Hurdle on 13 December.
Andrew Kelly, representing his agent Ciaran O'Toole, said: "I spoke to Paul on Saturday and he is hoping to be back for the Thyestes Chase meeting at Gowran Park on the 21st."
