More Of That put his troubles firmly behind him as he made an emphatic debut over fences in the Steel Plate And Sections Novices' Chase at Cheltenham.

The 2014 Ladbrokes World Hurdle hero was having his first race since a wind problem was discovered after he flopped at Newbury nearly 12 months ago.

Held up for most of the journey by Barry Geraghty as As De Mee, Ballyalton and Double Shuffle shared pacemaking duties, the 15-8 favourite was only produced in the straight.

Brought wide to make his bid, the Jonjo O'Neill-trained seven-year-old jumped the final fence alongside As De Mee and galloped on strongly up the hill to win by two and a half lengths.

Geraghty said: "He jumped nicely up the straight and he'd schooled really well. "He was good, he came on the bridle turning in and jumped the last well. He's a class horse."

A Hare Breath made a triumphant return from a 695-day absence to land a gamble in the Opus Energy Novices' Handicap Hurdle on his first run for Ben Pauling.

Shrewd punters took big odds on the seven-year-old overnight and A Hare Breath, who had shown promise on two outings over hurdles for his previous trainer Nick Gifford when behind Irving and Josses Hill, duly delivered.

The low sun caused a delay to the start. Four flights were omitted, leaving five to negotiate, but Midnight Shot and Trendsetter came down on the level in the early stages.

Are They Your Own made the running in the early stages before Ink Master took over a long way out with three hurdles left to jump.

Menawhile, A Hare Breath made stealthy progress under Nico de Boinville to lead on the long run-in and score by two and a quarter lengths from Galizzi, to give Pauling his first Cheltenham winner.

Double W's was a length and a half back in third and Dollar And A Dream, the 100-30 favourite, was a further half-length away fourth.

De Boinville said of the 6-1 winner: "That was some performance. He was the best-handicapped horse coming into the race. He'd been showing us a bit at home so that's why he got backed in.

Knock House (9-2 joint-favourite) defied top weight to give Nina Carberry a double in the Cheltenham Club Amateur Riders' Handicap Chase.

Mick Channon's charge jumped into the lead at the last and though long-time leader Foxbridge rallied on the run-in, Knock House would not be denied.

The winning margin was down to a neck at the line, with Alternatif five lengths back in third.
