Postponed will miss the Breeders' Cup Turf after scoping dirty following a workout on Wednesday morning.

The King George hero, who was generally available at 6-1 for the Grade One at Keeneland on Saturday week, now be aimed for the Dubai Sheema Classic at Meydan in March by trainer Roger Varian.

The four-year-old had pleased connections in the exercise when partnered by Andrea Atzeni but was subsequently found to be under par.

"I have spoken with Sheikh Mohammed Obaid this morning and I can confirm that Postponed will not run in the Breeders' Cup," the Newmarket trainer told his official website.

"His post-work scope was not 100% and we do not want to risk travelling him unless he is in peak health.

"His likely next target will be the Dubai Sheema Classic at the end of March, possibly with a prep run before."

Postponed was moved to Varian from Luca Cumani's stable along with all Sheikh Obaid's horses following his victory in the Prix Foy at Longchamp last month. The move saw him subsequently miss the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.
