Foundation is now odds-on with many bookmakers to provide John Gosden and Frankie Dettori with another Group One haul in Saturday's Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster.
The formidable pair have enjoyed a spectacular campaign, teaming up with the likes of Derby and Arc hero Golden Horn, French Oaks winner Star Of Seville and crack juvenile Shalaa before enjoying a winner on Champions Day with Long Distance Cup victor Flying Officer.
Unbeaten in three starts after completing a hat-trick in last month's Royal Lodge at Newmarket, Foundation was as big as 13-8 for the final top-level prize of the British Flat season following Monday's confirmation stage, but those odds shortened dramatically following sustained support on Tuesday.
The Highclere-owned colt counts Alex Ferguson among his owners and racing manager Harry Herbert is hoping victory this weekend can give his connections a "winter of dreaming".
"Frankie says this is his trip and ground-wise, good or easier ground will suit very well," Herbert told At The Races.
"He's given us all a terrific amount of fun and winning the Royal Lodge was a massive thrill for everyone involved.
"We thought this was the natural progression. I think when you've got a horse running in a race like this you can start dreaming that you can win a Group One or be placed in a Group One as two-year-old and that means that the Classics next year beckon.
"Whether this horse is a Guineas horse or a Derby horse, or maybe even both, who knows? He's certainly one of John's nicest two-year-olds and with a stable as powerful as that, it gives us huge optimism that we can have a winter of dreaming."
