Speedy Boarding could make a return trip to the Curragh next month to contest the Moyglare "Jewels" Blandford Stakes.

Having finished fifth in the Irish Oaks at the Kildare course on her most recent start, trainer James Fanshawe is considering dropping the three-year-old back in trip for a shot at the Group Two mile-and-a-quarter contest on 13 September.

Fanshawe said: "We might drop her back to a mile and a quarter and go for something like the Blandford Stakes at the beginning of September. We are just giving her a little break after her run in the Irish Oaks.

"She ran well in the Irish Oaks, but she was not good enough. She travelled well, but just didn't pick up.

"I think she would have liked a bit more juice in the ground."

The Newmarket handler also revealed Ribbons remains on course to try to win back-to-back renewals of the Prix Jean Romanet at Deauville.

After finishing third on her comeback in the Middleton Stakes at York in May, the five-year-old filled the same position on her latest start in the Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh.

Fanshawe said: "Ribbons is in good form and is on course for the Romanet.

"Hopefully they will get a bit more rain between now and the race as it has been dry out there."
