Amazing Maria continued her superb summer with victory in the Prix Rothschild at Deauville.
A high-class juvenile two years ago for Ed Dunlop before losing her way during her Classic campaign, the talented filly joined David O'Meara at the start of this season and the switch of stables has worked a treat.
The grey was a shock winner of the Duke of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot, but proved that effort was no fluke by clinching Group One glory in the Falmouth at Newmarket last month.
Sent across the English Channel for another top-level assignment and with Olivier Peslier on her back for the first time, the 48-10 shot was buried in the middle of the pack for the first half of the straight mile journey before being asked for maximum effort inside the final two furlongs.
Evens favourite Ervedya, winner of the French 1000 Guineas and the Coronation Stakes on her last two starts, looked to be travelling well against the rail under Christophe Soumillon, but she could not shake off O'Meara's star, who battled her way to the lead and was well on top at the finish.
Bawina (22-5), fourth behind Amazing Maria at Newmarket, finished third.
O'Meara said: "It's brilliant. She was unbelievable today.
"She is obviously a very good filly. There was probably some doubt about whether she was truly a Group One filly after Ascot, but she's done it again twice since then and you'd have to say she's among the best fillies in Europe now.
"You'd be surprised how much the ground has dried out here."
Amazing Maria holds an entry in the Matron Stakes at Leopardstown on 12 September.
Asked whether a trip to Ireland could be under consideration, O'Meara said: "I don't know where we'll go yet, but that could be an option.
"The races plan themselves for fillies like this."
