Aidan O'Brien's Archangel Raphael finished last in the Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris at Longchamp as Erupt extended his unbeaten record to four races.
Erupt, who returned a 73-10 shot on the PMU, was brought with a well-timed run by Stephane Pasquier in the straight to power past pace-setting Archangel Raphael and Storm The Stars, trained by William Haggas.
Francis Graffard’s Dubawi colt quickly asserted his authority and won by a comfortable two lengths from the Andre Fabre-trained 7-4 favourite Ampere, who was slightly hampered at a crucial stage of the race.
Dual Derby-placed Storm The Stars was not disgraced as he clung on for third, having travelled nicely for Pat Cosgrave, with David Simcock's Royal Ascot winner Balios, who was held up in the rear, keeping on to be a close fifth, just behind Silverwave.
Graffard said afterwards: "You couldn't expect a better result. It was perfect.
"He doesn't show much in the mornings, but he has a nice turn of foot. He's a lovely horse.
"We will wait for the autumn with him and the Arc if he is OK."
Ascot Gold Cup fifth Bathyrhon had to settle for second place behind the Francisco Da Silve-ridden Walzertakt, trained by Jean-Pierre Carvalho, in the Prix Maurice de Nieuil.
