Epsom runner-up Jack Hobbs will face seven rivals when he bids to go one better in the 150th Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby at the Curragh on Saturday.
English trainer John Gosden's colt has come a long way since winning a Wolverhampton maiden in late December, making a stunning reappearance in a Sandown handicap before finding only stable companion Golden Horn too strong in the Dante at York.
The two did battle once more in the Investec Derby and while Golden Horn confirmed his superiority, the Godolphin-owned Jack Hobbs was comfortably best of the rest and is the odds-on favourite for the Irish equivalent this weekend.
Jack Hobbs is joined on the trip from England by Storm The Stars, who was third at Epsom for William Haggas and has four and a half lengths to make up with the Gosden runner.
Aidan O'Brien has trained a record 11 previous winners of the Curragh Classic, including the likes of Galileo (2001), High Chaparral (2002), Camelot (2012) and last year's dual Derby winner Australia.
The master of Ballydoyle has four contenders this season, with Epsom Oaks heroine Qualify joined by three colts in French Derby runner-up Highland Reel as well as Epsom fourth and sixth Giovanni Canaletto and Kilimanjaro.
Pat Shanahan's Carbon Dating, huge odds when eighth at Epsom, is likely to be a three-figure price once again.
The field is completed by Dermot Weld's unbeaten colt Radanpour, who takes a huge step up in class following victory in the Listed King George V Cup at Leopardstown three weeks ago.
The only horse not declared is Jim Bolger's Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Pleascach, who finished second in the Ribblesdale Stakes at Royal Ascot just over a week ago.
