Dermot Weld intends to run ante-post favourite Forgotten Rules in the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot later this afternoon.
Fast ground had been a major concern, but Weld declared himself happy following a walk of the track, which was watered overnight.
He told Racing UK: "The plan is to run. Certainly when I walked it this morning I was pleased.
"I appreciate with the drying wind and sun it is going to put it back to faster than I'd like, but the horse is well and he runs."
Owned by Moyglare Stud, Forgotten Rules has had just four career starts, winning them all.
Weld struck big-race glory in the same colours with Free Eagle in the Prince of Wales's Stakes on Wednesday.
