Dermot Weld brings several horses to Fairyhouse on Thursday

Dermot Weld has a couple of interesting runners at Fairyhouse on Thursday, starting with Morselle in the Fairyhouse Welcomes Competitors Of The Tattersalls International Horse Trials Rated Race.

The Khalid Abdullah-owned filly showed the benefit of her Gowran debut when winning nicely on the all-weather nine days ago, but faces another Dundalk scorer in Johnny Murtagh's Hunt, while Ardhoomey has been knocking on the door for Ger Lyons of late.

Weld then runs Mutadhamen in the Next Racing At Fairyhouse June 10th Median Auction Maiden, though he struggled at Killarney and faces another Lyons challenger in Chenega Bay, who has filled the runner-up spot the last twice.

Weld arguably saves his best for last with Postulation in the jogforjockeys.ie Rated Race, with the dual winner up against Sandro Botticelli, who struck on his introduction for Aidan O'Brien and is a major threat.

O'Brien could also scupper Weld's newcomer Zhukova in the Your Clubs Fundraiser At Fairyhouse, Enquire Today Fillies Maiden as the master of Ballydoyle saddles Terracotta, who found Group Three company too hot last time but will be happier in this grade.

Both may be challenged for victory by Alertness, as Jim Bolger's filly has performed with credit in two starts this term.

Lyons has two runners in the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Auction Maiden at 5.50, with Mint Chai marginally preferred to Aldo Raine, though Bolger runs Naas third Escondida and Mick Halford has his Dundalk runner-up Miss Phillyjinks.

Bolger also gives Greanta another chance over 10 furlongs in the Promote Your Business At Fairyhouse In 2015 Apprentice Handicap, after the Intense Focus filly ran on for fourth over that trip at Clonmel.

She has a couple of in-form rivals to contend with. Rockview Emperor has been hugely consistent this term and House Limit has been hammering on the door at Dundalk.
