French challenger Epicuris will run in the Investec Derby at Epsom on 6 June, reports Equidia.
The Rail Link colt had been pencilled in to contest the French equivalent, the Prix du Jockey Club, at Chantilly on Sunday, but trainer Criquette Head-Maarek has been forced into a rethink.
French racing authority, France Galop, refused special dispensation for Nicolas Blondeau, the man renowned for helping Goldikova at the start of races, to be with the Criterium de Saint-Cloud winner during the loading process.
The British Horseracing Authority, conversely, would not prohibit Blondeau to be with Epicuris at the start of the Investec Derby, so connections will now send him to Epsom.
Head-Maarek's inmate successfully came through a stalls test at Chantilly last Thursday morning, under Blondeau's guidance, after the horse refused to enter the gates before his scheduled comeback run in the Prix Greffulhe.
